Lazaro at London and Lace

Lazaro Runway

It is safe to say that many of you have not been to the New York Bridal Market before, so let me try to explain what it is. For the most part, it is two weekends out of the year where everyone with products for weddings or brides, come to New York City and show their new lines to their clients. The fall line is shown in April, and the spring line is shown in October. It is a whirlwind of a weekend because there are so many vendors and so many locations that it is hard to keep up. Especially, if you are like my wife who wants to walk everywhere. From Friday morning, until Monday afternoon, my wife and I logged over 61,000 steps. Somewhere, my wife read that 20,000 steps is equal to 10 miles. If that is the case, we walked over 30 miles in one weekend. Yes, my calfs hurt, my feet hurt and so did my back. That might explain why I chose to take the opportunity to get my first ever pedicure in a salon right outside our hotel. It was late, and they were closing so we didn’t have time to let the polish dry. So my wife and I walked back to the hotel with the wraps still between our toes. 🙂 But let me tell you this, it was worth it. That girl doing my feet put a rub on them like I haven’t felt before. Anyways, the picture you see attached came from the JLM Press Show. JLM is the company that distributes the gowns made by Lazaro, Alvina Valenta and Hayley Paige, among others. Every market they have a runway show and a viewing at their New York offices. The runway show is a celebration of sorts. Have a little wine, eat some gluten free macaroons and then enjoy a runway show of some wonderful new creations. The viewing is a little different. They do a runway, but afterwards, you get to touch the gowns, ask questions and place orders. It can be exciting on both occasions because you really get to see how the gowns move in real life. This is the true beauty of these gowns because of the way that they are made. Because they are made with natural materials, they are lighter and more breathable. And let’s be real, who wants to see a model pass out on the runway because they can’t breathe in the garment that they are showcasing. This gown attached is a stunner. It is a fit and flare gown, but it has this wonderful tulle overlay that goes in a semi circle around the waist. It gives the illusion of a ball gown, but the feel and sensuality of a fitted dress. If this is your style, make an appointment today at London and Lace and find your dream gown.
