I love Lindsey and Colt’s unique wedding story. They both knew they wanted to elope somewhere in the mountains of Asheville with an intimate ceremony. To them, it wasn’t about a boisterous venue and hundreds of guests, but instead a celebration of their love for each other. The main priorities for the elopement were the place, the photographer and the dress – Lindsey was determined to find the gown of her dreams. We helped choose her Barbara Kavchok gown about six months before the wedding. When she put on her long-sleeve, fit-n-flare with grey lace accents for the first time, there was an undoubtable spark of magic. Lindsey and her best friend, Roxanne, who happened to be her photographer, spent lots of time driving and hiking around Asheville – their mission was to find that same spark they had felt. Later, the bride-to-be came to browse for accessories during our Paris by Debra Moreland trunk show and told us all about her possible venue options in Asheville.
They decided on Max Patch in North Carolina, with an adorable AirBnB close by to get ready in. Happily, Lindsey and Colt found all they needed for their dream elopement.
Lindsey and Colt spent the morning of their wedding getting ready and exchanging gifts at a charming AirBnB in the mountains.
Always up for an adventure, Lindsey and Colt hiked to the top of the mountain to exchange their vows. Hiking boots and a wedding veil – what a combination!
Roxanne acted as both photographer and best friend to the bride. Along with her husband, Trent, they make up Still Co. Photography out of Aiken, SC.
The group ended the night as all great parties end: with cake, pizza, and lots of confetti!
